Rouhani Stresses: No Dismantling of Iran Nuclear Facilities

Iran will not dismantle its nuclear facilities, President Hassan Rouhani said in an interview with The Financial Times published Friday after a historic deal between Tehran and world powers.

Asked by the newspaper whether dismantling Iran's atomic facilities was a "red line" for the Islamic republic, Rouhani replied: "100 percent".

Israel has bitterly opposed the deal struck in Geneva last weekend, saying that any pact with Tehran must have the sole purpose of dismantling Iran's nuclear capability.

Pending negotiations for a broader agreement, the deal struck in Geneva early November 24 calls for a six-month's freeze of Iran's nuclear program in exchange for limited sanctions relief.

But it does not call for dismantling Iran's nuclear facilities.

Rouhani meanwhile held out hope for further improvements in Iran's relations with the United States.

"Iran-U.S. problems are very complicated and cannot be resolved over a short period of time. Despite the complications, there has been an opening over the past 100 days, which can widen later," he told the FT.

I am neither M14 nor M8 . . . Iran will never comply of any part of the deal they reached last week; it is all waste of time... People who follow either M (14 or 8) are mentally challenged

@marc Iranians are complying with the agreement. The agreement did not say for the dismantling of nuclear facilities but to freeze the enrichment process.

If what you are saying is correct the world powers with stop the lifting of the sanctions made.

Buying time, this is Iran's game, lift sanctions, release our frozen funds and after six months of fattening up we will be able to resume our nuclear project. Israel has nothing to do with the issue, Shiaa are surrounded by a sea of Sunni, we need the bomb for protection more so now then ever.
The Shiaa of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain are being persecuted, The only Shaai that are themselves the persecutors are the HA of Lebanon. Iran will be a nuclear power with a first strike capability, useless against Israel but game changing with respect to the Arabs. The persecuted will become the persecutors, there is no middle ground in the Middle East.
