The army arrested on Friday a Lebanese national on charges of smuggling Syrians into Lebanon, reported the National News Agency.

It said that it arrested Ahmed H. at the Ain al-Shaab checkpoint in the Bekaa town of Arsal.

LBCI television later identified him as Ahmed al-Hallani.

He is charged of smuggling Syrians from al-Qalamoun into Lebanon through Arsal.

NNA added that eight Syrians riding in a van were also detained.

It did not disclose the reasons for their arrest.

Arsal, a predominantly Sunni area, backs the uprising against Syrian President Bashar Assad.

The town lies 12 kilometers from the border with Syria and has been used as a conduit for weapons and rebels to enter Syria, while also serving as a refuge for people fleeing the conflict.

The town has seen a massive influx of refugees in the past weeks as a result of the heavy fighting in Syria's al-Qalamoun.

That's fun !

I would pay a prize for the guy who's smuggling Hezbollah into Syria. As long as they don't come back alive.

In fact, I would exchange each Hezbollah idiot with 10 syrians...
