President Michel Suleiman stressed on Thursday the importance of holding dialogue between all the political factions.

He noted: “Dialogue has become a necessity for all countries and not just Lebanon.”

On an electoral law to be adopted for parliamentary elections, he said: “The adoption of a modern electoral law that allows the widest representation of the people will help pave the way for the rise of a fair democratic state.

The president then held talks with Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour after the Lebanese government agreed to recognize the Libyan National Transitional Council.

Suleiman then met with the council’s envoy, Abdullah al-Zabdani, who thanked Lebanon for recognizing the council.

Yes we need a modern electoral proportional representation law, but above all we do not need the OLD so called leaders and their families. we need a clean sweep from the president down to the janitors. We do not need the same crooks bribing and stealing NO THANKS

Ya sleiman, you are as incompetent as your prime sinister!
Have you ever adressed the nation?
What have you done so far?? You are a spectator.
You have been installed here by the filthy Syrian regime! You take no positions in order to keep the chair. You are totally useless to your country.
We've had the debates about a new electoral law, and M8 and M14 were not able to agree on it. Surely they should try again, but can this dialogue take place outside of a national unity cabinet??
