Hariri Willing to Leave If People Vote him Out

إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri stressed late Sunday that he was willing to quit politics if the Lebanese people voted him out.

“If people vote me out I am willing to leave is that fair enough,” he said on Twitter when one follower told him that Syrian President Bashar Assad’s father Hafez left his post for him as Rafik Hariri did.

“This is Nepotism and wrong,” the follower said.

“So you want me to leave politics?,” Hariri asked.

He reiterated that he has no problem with the Shiite sect and that his differences are with Hizbullah.

“I have a lot difference with Hizbullah politics and what they do, I have no issue with the Shiites because we are Lebanese,” he said.

Asked what his wish is for New Year, the former PM tweeted: “My wish is to give every Lebanese the freedom to speak and all infrastructure that is needed, from electricity to roads to telecom.”

He reiterated that he will be back to Beirut, stressing that his “wish is to see Lebanon the way” his father slain ex-Premier Rafik Hariri wanted it.

I just wish people would comment on the content of the article instead of pouring out their personal hatred and venom. Statements such as " let us shiites rule you and Lebanon from Iran" do not add value and for sure will diminish the value of your sect in the eyes of others! If you think you rule Lebanon and other sects thru your illegal weapons and not thru your contributions to society, then rest assured you are the loser. This shameless thug mentality is coming to an end, and the Lebanese people will never forgive you or those who are promoting this logic.

Mowaten of Iran: In reading your comments, one can only conclude you are even worse than so called "maboos". First, you rush to the defense of your sect citing as always the conspiracy theory. In your prejudice mind it is not possible for a fellow shiite to utter those sad ugly statements of maboos. Hence, the impersonator theory. Then, you show your real ugly face, by your derogatory remarks towards the people who voted for Harriri. To you, they all were bought through money to vote for him. Do you think the millions who voted and will vote for Harriri are paid money to do so? Your hatred for this man is obvious to all through your many posts on this site. Harriri is a prominent leader in the Sunni community and by implying his prominence is a result of "buying" votes, you are insulting a major sect in this country and shows your usual ill-mannered, spiteful, and hateful attitude. You might not like the man, but at least show respect for the people who vote for him!

predator i will not even comment on what you call a theory, as it is so obvious you're probably the only one who fell for it (besides your alter ego kingkong of course... 1344, 1351... humm, i wonder what other names you took from 45 to 50)

and besides that, yes there are some legitimate supporters of hariri, principally inherited from his daddy, but winning an election takes more than having "some" supporters, it takes a majority, and that is where the money comes in. pretend you dont know about the votes buying and make us proud now.

We conclude from the comments that there is no hope for this country.

What a crazy concept called DEMOCRACY!!! If only the rest of the politicians agree on this process. Let the LEBANESE people elect their government without the threats of weapons and direct influence of other countries/ideologies. And DON't EVEN PRETEND that Hibzallah isn't using it's weapons for internal reasons.

I agree with Hariri 100%. If the people don't want him to represent them, he should leave politics. But this goes to ALL politicians because it reflects the policies that the citizens care about.

The Lebanese people already voted you out. The majority in the Lebanese Parliament which is elected by the people didn't vote for you to become prime minister. You wouldn't be playing on twitter in your hometown Riyadh if the people actually wanted you.

We all want Saad Hariri not to leave. The trick is getting him back. Life is so boring without his hilarious stuttering speeches. We lost Choucou, and now we cannot afford to loose Saad. PLEASE BRING HIM BACK, EVEN IF IT TAKES KIDNAPPING HIM.
