Hariri Demands Investigations into Footage of Iraqi Militant in South
Prime Minister Saad Hariri on Saturday ordered investigations be run into a footage circulating on social media of an Iran-backed Iraqi militant commander in military uniform touring southern border villages, Hariri's media office said in a statement.
“Video of an Iraqi militia official in military uniform touring southern border villages is in circulation on social media. The video was filmed six days ago and constitutes a flagrant violation of Lebanese laws,” said the statement.
It added: “This has prompted PM Hariri to make contacts with concerned security and military officials to open investigations and take the needed measures for the prevention of any person or side from carrying out activities of military nature on Lebanese territory.”
The statement also said that the person shown in the video will be banned from entering into Lebanon.
The Iraqi militant commander has visited the Lebanon-Israel border expressing support for the Lebanese and Palestinians against the Jewish state.
Qais al-Khazali of the Iranian-backed Asaib Ahl al-Haq, or League of the Righteous, a group that staged spectacular attacks against U.S. troops before their withdrawal from Iraq in 2011 appeared in military uniform in a video while touring the border with Israel along with members Hizbullah.
The video was aired by Asaib Ahl al-Haq al-Ahd TV station Thursday night.

A known international sectarian terrorist visits Lebanon and tours the South and the 'moderate' Prime Minister and his Interior Minister know about the visit through social media a week later!
أكد المتحدث الإعلامي لـ”عصائب أهل الحق” نعيم العبودي ان الزيارة قام بها الخزعلي قبل نحو أسبوع من اليوم، وتوقيت نشر الفيديو فيه رسائل سياسية لإسرائيل.

وعن الانتقادات التي وُجِّهت للزيارة، أكد العبودي أن الزيارة هي رسمية وليست خرقاً للقانون اللبناني ولا العراقي، فلم يظهر أي شخص في الفيديو حاملاً سلاحه، بل في لباسه العسكري، وهي رسالة للداخل الإسرائيلي، وليست للداخل اللبناني أو أي جهة أخرى.
وختم: “الهدف من الزيارة قد وصل، وهو تأكيد على خطاب السيد حسن نصرالله قبل فترة، أن في أي حرب مقبلة ستواجه إسرائيل مقاتلين من جنسيات أخرى. فالمحور أصبح متمدداً من اليمن وصولاً إلى لبنان وسوريا”.
