Ex-Ogero Employee Charged with Spying for Israel

Military Prosecutor Judge Saqr Saqr charged on Wednesday a former employee with state-run telecom operator Ogero with spying for Israel, the National News Agency reported.
NNA, which did not identify the man, said Saqr charged him for allegedly meeting with Israeli officers abroad and providing them with information on the telecom sector in return for money.
The suspect was referred to the military examining magistrate to follow-up his questioning.
If convicted, the retired Ogero employee could face the death penalty.

the second floor of the ogero building contained the third mobile telecom network installations, the one which was offered by the chinese. (on top of the mtc and alfa ones).
what minister Nahhas suspected at the time is that this network was being used for coordinating rebel activities in syria. operatives working on the coup were equipped with cellulars working on that network, and thus could evade any interception/detection/tapping of their communications. minister Nahhas went in to shut down the network, but this would have been a hard blow to the syrian operations, and this is when rifi sent 200 men to occupy the building, despite Nahhas, Baroud and Sleiman's orders.

just ask the fate of the cheikh sent to syria after being labeled as a spy...he just wanted the hezb to go back to a lebanese shiism like in the past and cut links with iran; his wife testified about this on tv.
