Bukhari: Some Trying to Tamper with Lebanon's Close Ties with Its Arab Depth

W460

Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukhari on Thursday called on the political parties to “put Lebanon’s interest first” as he criticized parties whom he said are trying to ruin Lebanon’s relations with the Arab countries.

“We recommend preserving diversity and the coexistence whose foundations were established by the Taef Accord, which is entrusted with national unity and civil peace,” Bukhari said.

He was speaking at a Bkirki ceremony celebrating the publication of the book “The Maronite Patriarchate’s Relation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”, which has been authored by the abbot Antoine Daou al-Antouni.

“We urge the political parties to put the higher Lebanese interest first in order to confront the challenges that Lebanon is going through, including the attempt by some parties to tamper with the close relation between Lebanon and its Arab depth by trying to involve it other axes that contradict with the preamble to the Lebanese constitution,” Bukhari added.

“There is no legitimacy for the rhetoric of sedition, partitioning and fragmentation and there is no legitimacy for a rhetoric that overlooks Lebanon’s Arab identity,” the ambassador went on to say.

"called on the political parties to “put Lebanon’s interest first”". Imagine that someone who is not Lebanese is telling us as Lebanese to put the interest of Lebanon first! If our leaders have any shred of dignity, they would all resign. However, we see from the president down engaging in stealing and putting our money in their bank accounts through corruption, and shitting on all of us. Ironically, though, I am somehow sure that when election time comes, the Lebanese would vote for the same people who shitted on them. This is how low I put the Lebanese people's attitude. They might be educated on a piece of paper, but within them, there is a high level of illiteracy. In a nut shell, Lebanon is doomed, not only for having shitty politicians, but above all, shitty people who are ignorant, stupid, and stupidly fanatic to their religion despite the fact that their religions call for smartness and fairness, while they chose to advocate stupidity and corruption.

Iran has severely let Lebanon down and has not provided the financial support it needs at this desperate time. It's not time to look elsewhere -- to Arab states.

Why don't you spell it out loud and clear, who is doing that. We all know that Huzbullah has spoilt Lebanon's relationship with almost all the Arab countries, aided by Aoun and Basil, who proclaim they represent the Christians, which is not true. No one represents the Christians, except those who put Lebanon's interest first, and Aoun and Basil are destroying any hope Lebanon has to flourish and be tightly knit with the Kingdom of SA and the rest of the Arab world. We have chosen to be part of the Arab world, and this is not going to change. In a year's time, Aoun would have died and Basil shrunk to zero and disappeared and probably jailed on corruption charges. Then, we all would resurrect from our doldrums and breathe again. I would proclaim this day the day of Lebanon's liberation from the tyranny of evil represented by Aoun and Basil.
