Justice minister names judicial investigators into political assassinations

Justice Minister Adel Nassar has appointed judicial investigators into several political assassinations that took place in Lebanon as part of his steps to put an end to impunity, the National News Agency said.
Below is the list of the appointed investigators:
- Judge Amira Sabra: Sheikh Ahmad Assaf’s assassination
- Judge Fadi Akiki: Engineer Mustafa Maarouf Saad’s assassination attempt
- Judge Yahya Ghabboura: Armed attack on Ehden that resulted in the death of MP Tony Franjieh and a number of family members and bodyguards
- Judge Joseph Tamer: Ex-president Camille Chamoun’s assassination attempt
- Judge Alaa al-Khatib: The clashes and incidents that took place in the Baalbek town of Bourday
- Judge Fadi Sawan: Ex-minister Elie Hobeika’s assassination
- Judge Samer Younes: The assassination of MP Antoine Ghanem and his companions
- Judge Kamal Nassar: Sheikh Saleh al-Aridi’s death in Bayssour
- Judge Sami Sader: The assassination of MP and Minister Pierre Amin Gemayel and his bodyguard Samir Chartouni
- Judge Samer Lychaa: Journalist Samir Kassir’s assassination
- Judge Claude Ghanem: MP and journalist Gebran Tueini’s assassination
