Berri 'reassured' after discussing with Aoun bridge attacks, displacement crisis
President Joseph Aoun met Monday with Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
The talks stressed the importance of "national unity and solidarity", as Berri said he is "reassured by the presence of the president."
Berri and Aoun discussed the recent targeting of bridges in south Lebanon and the displaced crises.
The death toll has risen to more than 1,000 people as the war displaced 1 million in Lebanon.
Aoun had called Israel’s new targeting of bridges in the south "a prelude to a ground invasion."
Later in the day Aoun met with PM Salam who said, after the meeting, hat he's "in daily contact" with Aoun, and "we are all working to stop the war as soon as possible."

AOUN & SALAM, IF THEY CARE ABOUT LEBANON& PROTECTING OUR NATION should (1) put Berri in prison for blackmailing & enabling Lebanon occupation & destruction by Basij, (2) declare Hizb an Iranian brigade enemy of state systematically destroying Lebanon for Iran objectives, (3) replace Hizb ministers with Shia opposition who represent majority of Shia (Hizb support is similar to Assad 95% support that disappear once armed & threats removed), (4) request any of UNIFIL/Arab/Egypt/France to support Lebanese army in disarming & defeating Hizb Iranian Brigade, and (5) expel Iran Ambassador & sue Iran in international courts for its $120 billion frozen funds. All Hizb Leaders are traitors & should be imprisoned & their assets confiscated to compensate their million victims. Berri 2024 Isnad to Gaza alone has cost Lebanon $15 billion, or 2 year average salary of one million Lebanese. 2026 war even worse. Duo cancer must be removed for Lebanon to survive!
