Mansour Says No Valid Reason to Expel Syrian Ambassador

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour slammed on Thursday officials who are demanding the government to expel the Syrian Ambassador Ali Abdul Karim Ali, noting that such a move violates diplomatic norms and conventions.
“We follow certain norms that we will not bend,” Mansour said in comments published in al-Joumhouria newspaper.
He noted that there is no reason for the expulsion of the diplomat or for the abrupt withdrawal of the Lebanese Ambassador from Syria.
“The government has no convincing reasons to take such steps,” Mansour noted.
Asked about the campaign against him, he shrugged off criticism, saying: “I don’t care for these campaigns, I will not reply to them.”
On Wednesday the March 14 general-secretariat called following its weekly meeting for expelling the Syrian ambassador from Lebanon “after the embassy became a center of management of kidnapping and bombing operations.”

karim--why don't we expel the iranian and syrian ones for their exportation of persianfascism first, and then go with the others. The problems in this country are directly linked to syrian and iranian interference and the former has been screwing in this country's affairs since 1973. And since Russia was supporting the ASSad regime prior to Iran, we should also expel them.
So before name calling and using the propaganda that your uncles bashar and nastrallah told you to spout, why don't you look who has been actually f*cking with this country the longest and then come to a decision.

In an earlier comment I suggested that there be a vote in the parliament on this subject. A simple matter in most democratic countries and yet there are people in this comment page who are against this idea, and therefore must be against democracy in and for Lebanon. A sad state of affairs.
