Members of Syria's main opposition group were on Monday meeting in Turkey to form a rival government to President Bashar Assad's regime.
Twelve candidates are running for the job of an interim prime minister for areas the rebels control. The candidates are mostly exile-based technocrats, although two of the nominees live in the government-controlled areas.
Monday's meeting of the Western-backed Syrian National Coalition is taking place in Istanbul, Turkey.
It's the group's most serious effort to form an interim cabinet since the uprising against Assad's rule started two years ago. The conflict has since turned into a civil war in which at least 70,000 have been killed.
A vote is expected by Tuesday.
Two previous attempts to elect a prime minister failed due to divisions.

Hope you wankers Rot in hell while you choose a prime minister in hiding, at the same time you people from both sides of the spectrum young and old are starving to death , killed by the bitter cold , and killed your foot soldiers from either side. Yet it's a simple solution to solve if you all want to end this strategy just by a flick of a pen on paper, shame on you all, shame on you, even wearing designer clothing and eating the finest food as well as sleeping In a warm bed. Shame on you all, my god strike you all down including your families without a blessing to your children's children due to the blood on all your hands.
