Forty Syrian soldiers and pro-regime militiamen were killed in fighting with rebels on Wednesday around an army camp near the town of Nayrab in the northwestern province of Idlib, a watchdog reported.

"The fighting has killed 14 from the rebel side and not less than 40 among the soldiers of the regular army and members of the Popular Committees (pro-regime militia)," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Rebels took control of the army camp, which was "one of the most important bastions of the regime in the Idlib region," it added.

I thought this would be over after qusayr. If the rebels had 75% of the weapons the regime has they would be on Damascus 2 years ago.

If they had 71%, would they have been in Damascus 22.72 months ago? Enlighten us, military strategist.

No need. It's pretty self explanatory. If you need help ask your 3rd grade teacher. People with light weapons against (according to your likes) already hold a huge portion of the country against MIGs. Tanks. Heavier artillery. Etc. so if you give them tanks. MIGs. And heavier artillery. What do you think would happen. You don't need to be a military strategist. Just need a few brain cells. Something you are obviously lacking.
