A Christian meeting will be held on Monday between senior officials under the auspices of Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun in Keserwan.

The meeting will be the first of many that is set to tackle the problems confronting Christians and to establish a mechanism to resolve them.

A source close to the organizers told al-Joumhouria newspaper that various March 8 and 14 coalitions' Christian figures were invited to attend the meeting that will also be held in presence of religious figures.

The meeting will also form specialized committees that will address several issues such as: Christians and the ties with Syria, Christians and the Arab-Israeli peace negotiations...

“We don't know who will be attending the conference,” the source said.

The source noted that Aoun will be addressing the attendees.

I would send an open invitation to all secular concerned citizens and politicians.

I don't know him personally, but I am sure he is of Christian faith. Having said that, I would still invite all secular concerned Lebanese for the betterment of Lebanon as a whole.

Aoun is only Christian on his ID just like Nasrallah or Ben Laden are Muslim on their IDs.

Strange, everything that comes out of your mouth must contain insults! Is that a differentiator for you? Does it make you feel superior because you think you are the only one who can use insults? Does it satisfy your starving ego? Your fake accounts not enough? I feel sorry for you....

I for one think that if the Christians don't unite immediately their plight in Lebanon would be dire. Enough with this animosity and strings tucking. We need to find a ground for establishing stability in Lebanon. Now that the struggle in Lebanon is between the Sunni and Shia, we should be acting as a balancing force to protect our country and establish a real peace. Our economy is in shambles and couldn't survive another round of war.
