Mansour Calls For a 'United Stance to Confront Aggression against Syria'

Caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour defended the Syrian regime on Monday and called on all Arab states to unite their stances and reject a U.S.-led military strike against Syria, the state-run National News Agency reported.

“All Arab countries must take a unified stance to confront an aggression against Syria because the repercussions will reflect on the entire region,” NNA quoted Mansour as saying.

Assuring that Syria does not stand alone but has friends all over the world, Mansour added: “We cannot imagine how an Arab country could possibly support an aggression against another,” stressing that a “military strike against an Arab state cannot be overlooked whatever the latter's regime and policy are.”

“We cannot say that the drums of war on Syria have stopped. We have to know what the American administration wants and whether they actually want to go to war,” said the minister.

He concluded: “We should wait for the results of the investigation on the use of chemical weapons and not make wild accusations.”

U.N. experts left Syria at end of August after investigating an alleged chemical weapons attack, which killed hundreds of civilians, while the U.S. said it was planning a limited response to punish Syria's President Bashar Assad for the "brutal and flagrant" assault.

Yes indeed, just look at his glazing luscious lips, the portal of truth and wisdom. So patriotic, even his Adam's apple/decrepit skin on his neck resemble the Lebanese map.

Thumb liberty 09 September 2013, 13:03

He and who are behind him were dancing when NATO were bombing Libya:)))

Thumb Machia 09 September 2013, 13:12

Thumb Maxx 09 September 2013, 13:25

Thumb Nade 09 September 2013, 16:17

He is a good foreign minister for Syria. Let's unite against aggression while Syria bombs Lebanon and launches terrorist attacks in it.

“We cannot imagine how an Arab country could possibly support an aggression against another,”
Except the Arab country that is in America's gunsights is no longer a country, but a stubborn clique desperately fighting for holding on to power. And the UN investigation is not about finding who used chems, it is only about confirming that chems were used.

Mansour is a Syrian/Berri piece of trash...he doesn't represent us Lebanese....

Thumb shab 09 September 2013, 15:52

Nope

Thumb Nade 09 September 2013, 16:15

And I have always told you that you are none Lebanese like him and he shall have his office in syria and not Lebanon. he is the worst ever of any minister that represent his country..... Why isn't he following the Baabda declaration? Tell him to shut up and follow the Baabda declaration of disassociation policy.
PS. didn't I tell you to change the patriotic-Lebanese to Patriotic-Ran before?

Thumb dasphinx 09 September 2013, 16:40

Some people just don't spare any effort in revealing Lebanon as the North Korea of the Middle East after we were once called the Switzerland of the Middle East. My simple question to the FM is: "what do you stand to gain out of such comment that won't make a difference in a million years?". As we say, raytak "sakatet" w ma 7kit!

Thumb dasphinx 09 September 2013, 16:43

Let's not forget the Syrian wars and aggression against Lebanon and the Palestinians in several occasions!!!

Missing samiam 09 September 2013, 17:41

Really don't have say much--all he talks about is Syria instead of LEBANON. For shame, at least pretend to represent your country.

Thumb lebnanfirst 09 September 2013, 17:45

“All Arab countries must take a unified stance to confront an aggression against Syria because the repercussions will reflect on the entire region,”

Judging from the Arab League recent statement, it is obvious that most, if not all, Arabs disagree with our esteemed Foreign Minister.

if he loves Syira let him go live there and become Syrian. where was he when Syria bombarded and killed the Lebanese for centuries, was it allowed back then that an arab country attacks another? if you want to defend Syria, fine, but at least have the decency to condemn Syria when they bomb the bekaa and kill Lebanese! he is the best foreign minister SYRIA will ever have

Thumb thepatriot 10 September 2013, 11:06

...and let him take with him Berri, Aoun, Frangieh, and his beloved Hassouna! Traitors, and collaborators!
