Hariri Congratulates Moqren for Being Named Saudi Future King

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri on Monday congratulated Saudi prince Moqren bin Abdul Aziz, who has been recently named second in line for the Gulf kingdom's throne.

According to a statement issued by Hariri's press office, the two men met at the prince's office at al-Yamama Palace in Riyadh.

The ex-PM congratulated Prince Moqren on “the royal confidence he gained by being chosen as deputy crown prince,” said the statement.

For his part, the prince thanked Hariri for his gesture and the meeting was “an occasion to exchange points of view,” the press office added.

The prince, who was chosen on March 27, is a confidant of King Abdullah who has trusted him to carry out several sensitive diplomatic missions.

He will be proclaimed sovereign "if the posts of crown prince and king become vacant," according to a decision taken by "more than three-quarters" of the 34-member Board of Succession, comprised of the princes of the royal family.

Thank you KSA for helping us equip the LAF with 3 billion dollars worth of equipment.

Thumb popeye 14 April 2014, 17:09

you see, mowaten voted you down because he does not want the LAF to be strong. He prefers his sectarian militia to have the upper hand. And they are the first to post God Bless the Lebanese Army)

where is the money? Nothing yet was given to the LAF

Thumb EagleDawn 15 April 2014, 12:23

sometimes your naivety is amazing. If you follow the news, you will know the Saudis are paying the French directly and the first batch of the weapons will be in the hands of the LAF in June!

Strong Army = no need for Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is against a strong army.

Hezbollah is the #1 enemy to a free, strong and sovereign Lebanon !

Default-user-icon Hanoun (Guest) 14 April 2014, 17:36

Very well said. However if they did that how would they be able to continue to undermine the legitimate government of the Republic of Lebanon?

Thumb FlameCatcher 14 April 2014, 18:25

FT: Unlike Iran and Syria, KSA is a proud kingdom who never claimed to be democratic.

What's your point ? You just woke up from a long lie believing all this time that KSA was a democracy ? At least they don't hide behind LIES and ILLUSIONS like your beloved democratic Bashar and Emperor Khomeini and his bastard heir and child Nasrallah !

Thumb cedre 15 April 2014, 02:05

when did ksa advocate democracy ya pathetic liar ?

Thumb .mowaten. 15 April 2014, 10:26

"a proud kingdom" roflmao

Thumb FlameCatcher 15 April 2014, 11:38

@Mowaten : Yes, they are proud of their kingdom and country. Such as you are proud of your country, Iran and it's democracy. A beacon of freedom of speech and human rights in the middle east !

At least, they don't hide behind fake banners such as democracy like your Ayatollah Terrorist and Butcher Bashar.

Instead of persuading the Saudi terrorists to adopt democracy, Hariri sits there and congratulates these people for electing themselves as "kings". But then again, Hariri is nothing but a Saudi puppet.

@ For m14 people, your comments are really baseless and childish. M14 thanks Saudi Arabia for 3 billion over 5 YEARS which coming back to 600million per year. go check the lebanese army budget per year just to keep it working and pay salaries and maintain their equipments etc.. Its about the same amount if not more, so all they have done is give us the money to maintain our army as it is and its only normal with all the extremists they have created inside and outside our borders.

As for M8 illogical comments of support from terrorists , yes it is a support but as i said it is not worth talking it cannot give the lebanese army anything concrete like planes or heavy artillery. ( it is not 3 billion each year that would make a difference) everything was calculated. So please do not say like some that Sleiman went begging for weapons and they gave it to him. it is the least they can do after all they did in leb and syria

Default-user-icon Illusionist (Guest) 14 April 2014, 21:09

@ All, Hariri is in the kingdom in order to see what KSA thinks about geagea as president. They support him but the thing is that he lacks the necessary quorum to be president. Hariri knows Hezb can threaten Jumblat and give Aoun a majority. What will happen is that Hariri will endorse Aoun only if he lets him be prime minister again and sign some kind of MOU between them and with Hezbollah. that is also why Aoun said that he cannot win without moustaqbal agreeing also on him.Geagea is going too fast with his predictions and i wonder how he will remove Hez from Syria. Give us concrete please or get the hell out of the country all of you corrupted leaders

Thumb cedre 15 April 2014, 07:00

Mind ur farsi business, ksa none of yours...
U can get democracy in Qom and Karbala if u wish...

Thumb .mowaten. 15 April 2014, 10:35

when saudi stops meddling in lebanese and syrian affairs, and sending us their apes to commit suicide bombins, then you can say ksa is none of our business. in the mean time, i think it's time to start working on them. payback is coming cedre.
