Army Receives Two U.S. Super Tucano Light Attack Aircraft
The Lebanese Air Force on Monday received two U.S. A-29 Super Tucano light attack aircraft, the National News Agency said.
The two planes were delivered at the Hamat military airport in northern Lebanon.
The two aircraft have been donated to Lebanon as part of the U.S. aid program for the Lebanese Army.
The planes are designed for counter-insurgency operations.
The U.S. has been a major supporter of the Lebanese Army, which until recently had been fighting the Islamic State group and al-Qaida's Syrian branch on the border with Syria.
The two groups were ousted from the border region following Hizbullah and army offensives.
Last year, Washington delivered three Huey II helicopters, raising to 10 the number of such U.S.-made aircraft in Lebanon's fleet.
The U.S. has provided more than $1 billion in military assistance to Lebanon since 2006.

Looks can be deceiving and these are two examples. These only look like leftovers WW2 planes but they are modern planes introduced in 2003 and used by more than a dozen countries including the US marines. You know, like Hezbollah supporters only look like disgusting human beings but they are unevolved pre-neanderthal apes introduced in 1983 and used by the Iranian revolutionary guards and loyal only to the Iranian supreme leader. I hope this makes it easy for you to understand Mystic although I'm not betting on it .

Junk??? This is state of the art aircraft, fresh from the factory. You can't get any better ground attack platform than the A-29. It does the same ground attack job of an F-16 or F-15 at 1/10 of the cost.
I think it was a very wise buy by the Lebanese army.
Iran would like to have anything remotely close to an A-29! Their failed experimental combat aircraft have all been a disaster and they have none in service. Of course, they still use obsolete F-14s, F-4s and F-5s US made cold war era aircraft.
