Qassem: Only solution is Israeli withdrawal, army deployment south of Litani
Hezbollah chief Sheikh Naim Qassem said Wednesday that "there is no solution other than an Israeli withdrawal in return for the Lebanese Army's deployment south of the Litani."
"The framework agreement sells Lebanon to the Zionist entity and it does not talk about withdrawal but rather re-deployment, which means giving up a piece of Lebanon," Qassem said in an address to supporters.
"Not a single article of this agreement shall pass and you won't be able to do anything," a defiant Qassem added.
"We're clinging to the course of the American-Iranian agreement and with it we will stay in the battlefield," he went on to say.
"We won't be dragged into strife, but we will not allow anyone to insult us," he added.
